Introduction

Welcome to the personal website of coach Alexey Nazarov (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, which provides information about our coaching services, case studies, and contact details. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable United States data protection laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other relevant regulations). By using our site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect both information that you voluntarily provide to us and data collected automatically as you use our site:

Information You Provide: When you fill out our contact or feedback forms – for example, to subscribe to our newsletter or request a consultation – we collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and any information you include in your message. This also applies if you sign up for a free report or case study download by providing your name and email. Providing this information is voluntary, but certain features (like contacting us or subscribing) may not be available if you choose not to share these details.

Automatic Data (Usage and Device Information): When you visit our site, we automatically receive some data about your visit. This may include your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, the date/time of your visit, and how you navigate our pages. We collect this through cookies and similar tracking technologies (explained more below) to gather analytics and improve our website’s performance. We have enabled settings to anonymize this data where possible (for example, truncating IP addresses) so it is not directly identifying.

Google Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized statistical information about how visitors use our site. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser to log data such as what pages you visit, how long you stay, and how you arrived at our site. This information is aggregated and does not include personal details like your name or email address; it helps us understand user behavior and traffic patterns in order to improve our content and services. (For more details on Google Analytics, you can refer to Google’s own Privacy Policy.)

We do not intentionally collect any sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, financial information, or health data) on this site. We also do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, and our site is not directed to children. If you are under 13, please do not submit any personal information.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To Provide and Improve Services: We use your personal information to respond to your inquiries, process your consultation requests, and provide the coaching services or information you request. For instance, if you fill out a “Contact Us” form or request a free consultation, we will use your contact details to reach out to you and address your needs. We may also use the information to personalize your experience on the site and improve our offerings based on user feedback.

Communication and Updates: If you subscribe to our newsletter or mailing list, we will use your email address to send you newsletters, updates, marketing communications or upcoming events that may interest you. You can opt out of these emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email or contacting us directly. We will not send you unsolicited marketing emails if you have not subscribed.

Analytics and Site Improvement: We use aggregated, anonymized data (such as website traffic and usage patterns collected via Google Analytics) to understand how our website is used. This helps us analyze which content is most popular, diagnose technical issues, and improve the structure and content of the site for a better user experience. For example, knowing which pages are visited most often or how users navigate the site allows us to optimize our content and navigation.

Security and Fraud Prevention: We may process certain data (like IP addresses or technical logs) to help maintain the security of our website, prevent unauthorized access or spam, and to detect or investigate potential fraud or malicious activities. This is done to protect both your data and our site’s integrity.

Legal Compliance: In certain cases, we may need to use or disclose your information to comply with legal obligations. For example, we may retain transaction records or communications as required by law, or disclose information in response to lawful requests by public authorities (such as subpoenas or court orders).

We will only use your personal information for the purposes described above. If we need to use your information for a materially different purpose, we will update this Privacy Policy or obtain your consent as required by law.

Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information collected through our site. Your data is stored on secure servers (which may be provided by trusted hosting services or cloud providers) and we use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of your information. These measures include encryption of data where appropriate, regular software security updates, and restricted access to personal data (only the site administrator and authorized personnel can access it).

Personal information that you provide (such as form submissions) is kept only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. For example, if you subscribe to our newsletter, we will retain your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you request a consultation or information, we will keep your data for as long as needed to provide you with an answer or service, and for a reasonable period thereafter in case of follow-up questions. We do not keep personal data longer than necessary.

Despite our efforts, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

Who Has Access to Your Information (Sharing and Disclosure)

We value your privacy and handle your personal information with care. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for profit. We only share your data in the following circumstances:

Site Administrator and Staff: Alexey Nazarov (the site owner and administrator) will have access to the personal information collected, in order to manage the website and respond to user requests. Authorized individuals who work with or for Alexey (if any, such as support staff or website managers) may also access data strictly on a need-to-know basis, and they are obligated to keep your information confidential.

Service Providers: We use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate our website or provide our services, and your information may be shared with them as necessary for their functions. This includes, for example:

Website Hosting and Maintenance: Companies that host our website or provide technical infrastructure may process data that passes through the site (they could incidentally have access to data as part of backup or cloud storage services).

Analytics Services: As noted, we use Google Analytics to gather usage statistics. Google acts as a data processor for us in this context. Google may process and store usage data (e.g., IP address (anonymized), device identifiers, cookies) for the purpose of providing aggregate analytics reports to us. We have configured Google Analytics to anonymize IP addresses and not to share data with other Google products. (See “Cookies and Tracking” below for how to opt out of Google Analytics tracking.)

Email Newsletter Provider: If we use an email marketing service to send out newsletters or announcements, your name and email address may be stored with that provider for the purpose of email distribution. Such providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for our specified purposes.

Scheduling and Contact Tools: If our site integrates a third-party scheduling tool for booking consultations (for example, Calendly), the information you provide to schedule an appointment (such as your name and email) will be processed by that service on our behalf to manage the booking. These services will typically send your details to us (for instance, via email or calendar invite) so we can conduct the scheduled session. They may also retain that data according to their own privacy policies. We will only use reputable providers who adhere to privacy standards.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (i) comply with a legal obligation or regulatory requirement; (ii) protect and defend our rights or property; (iii) prevent fraud or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the site; or (iv) protect the personal safety of users or the public.

Business Transfers: If in the future our business or website is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor or new owner as part of that transaction. If that happens, we will ensure the new owner is bound by terms similar to this Privacy Policy, and we will notify you (for example, via a notice on the website) of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.

In all cases where we share your information with service providers or third parties, we only share the minimum information necessary for them to perform their services, and we require that they protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify. We do not allow our third-party processors to use your personal data for their own marketing or other unrelated purposes.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance user experience and collect analytics information:

What Are Cookies: Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information. Cookies can be “session” cookies (which are deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (which stay until they expire or you delete them).

How We Use Cookies: We use cookies for several reasons:

Essential Cookies: These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. For example, if our site has a login or uses forms, an essential cookie might be used to maintain your session or remember your input as you navigate between pages. We currently use minimal essential cookies since our site is mostly informational, but they may be present for things like load balancing (to ensure the site loads quickly).

Analytics Cookies: We use Google Analytics cookies to collect information about how visitors use our site. These cookies gather data on things like pages visited, time spent on the site, and interactions with our content. The information is aggregated and used to compile reports that help us understand website traffic and user behavior. For instance, analytics cookies tell us which pages are popular or if certain pages are causing errors, so we can improve your experience. All analytics data is anonymized and does not include personally identifying information.

Preference Cookies: If applicable, these cookies remember your choices (such as language preference, if our site offers multiple languages, or other settings) to provide a more personalized experience. (For example, if you dismiss a one-time notice or cookie consent banner, a cookie might remember that preference so you don’t see the message again.)

Third-Party Cookies: Aside from Google Analytics, our site does not currently use third-party advertising cookies. We do not serve targeted advertisements on our site. However, if we embed content from other platforms (like a YouTube video or a social media feed), those platforms may set their own cookies. We will inform you wherever such third-party integrations occur and what their policies are. In the case of Google Analytics, Google’s cookies track usage as described above and Google’s privacy policy for those services will apply in conjunction with ours. We provide a link to Google’s Analytics privacy overview for more information.

Your Choices: You have the option to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline some or all cookies if you prefer. You can also delete cookies that have already been set by your browser. Please note that if you disable cookies, some features of our site may not function properly. For example, forms might not remember your details, or we might not be able to tailor the site to your preferences. However, you will still be able to access most content on the site even with all non-essential cookies disabled.

Google Analytics Opt-Out: If you do not want Google Analytics to collect data about your visits, Google provides an Opt-out Browser Add-on you can install, which prevents Google Analytics script from running. Additionally, some browsers allow you to block only third-party cookies or specific scripts – consult your browser’s help documentation for more details. We honor any settings or signals where possible. For example, if you have enabled a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or a “Do Not Track” signal in your browser, we currently do not alter our data collection in response to these signals (because there is not yet an industry standard on how to respond to them), but we only use your data as described in this policy and never for sale or unauthorized sharing. We continue to monitor developments around such signals and will update our practices as standards emerge.

By using our site without adjusting your browser settings to refuse cookies, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this section. You can always revisit your cookie preferences by changing your browser settings and clearing cookies.

Your Rights and Choices

We respect your privacy rights. Depending on applicable laws (such as the CCPA for California residents and similar state privacy laws), you have certain rights regarding your personal information. We extend these core rights to all our users where reasonably possible, so that you have control over your data. These rights include:

Right to Know/Access: You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we have collected about you, including the categories of data, the sources of that information, the business purpose for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we shared that information. You may also request a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we have about you.

Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete personal information we have collected from you (subject to certain exceptions under the law). Once we receive and confirm a verified deletion request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your personal information from our records, unless an exception applies (for example, if we are legally required to keep it, or if the information is needed to complete a transaction you requested or to detect security incidents, etc.).

Right to Correct: If you believe that any personal information we hold about you is inaccurate or outdated, you have the right to request a correction or update. We will take reasonable steps to correct the information as requested, taking into account the nature of the information and the purposes for which we process it.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: The CCPA gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information with third parties. However, as noted, we do not sell your personal information to any third parties for monetary value or other valuable consideration. We also do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (targeted advertising) purposes. In the unlikely event that this practice changes in the future, we will update this policy and provide a clear “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our website.

Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. This means, for example, that we will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality of service just because you exercised your rights under privacy laws. Your access to our services will remain the same whether or not you choose to exercise these rights.

Additional Rights (if applicable): Some jurisdictions provide additional privacy rights to individuals. For example, California’s privacy law (as amended by CPRA) provides a right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and certain states (like Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, etc.) provide rights to opt out of profiling or targeted advertising. These rights are generally not applicable to our website because we do not process sensitive personal information or use personal data for targeted advertising or automated profiling. However, if you are a resident of a state with such privacy laws and you believe any of these additional rights apply to you in context of our site, we will honor the request to the extent required by law.

Exercising Your Rights: You may exercise the rights applicable to you by contacting us through the methods listed in the “Contact Us” section below. For example, if you want to know what information we have about you or you want us to delete your data, you can send us a request. We will need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (to protect your privacy, we need to ensure the person making the request is actually you or an authorized representative). Verification may involve confirming information we already have on file or asking for additional details as needed.

Once your request is verified, we will respond within the timeframe required by law. For most requests under CCPA, we will respond within 45 days of receiving your request, or inform you if we need an extension (up to an additional 45 days). Requests are generally free of charge, unless they are excessive or unfounded (in which case we may charge a reasonable fee or decline the request as permitted by law).

If you have subscribed to our newsletter or marketing emails, you can also opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of those emails. Your email address will be removed from our mailing list promptly.
